2024 Events
Fall 2024 Semester
GENERAL INTEREST MEETING
Students got to learn about the two competition teams at Rutgers - Steel Bridge and Concrete Canoe, all while enjoying some pizza and competing to build a candy bridge. The catch - designers had 1 minute to look at the model bridge design and had to report back to their team without any verbal communication to try and replicate the design!

INTERNS PRESENT
ASCE e-Board members shared their internship/research experiences with other Rutgers ASCE students, followed by a resume review workshop hosted by upperclassmen students.
Students presented experiences from Langan, Jacobs, Michael Baker International, and the Port Authority of NY & NJ.

ALUMNI NIGHT
In Collaboration with: EWB and EIA
In collaboration with Engineers Without Borders and Engineers in Action, Rutgers ASCE hosted an Alumni Panel with presenters sharing their Rutgers engineering journey and experiences in industry. Students were also able to participate in a resume review in preparation for the upcoming career expo.

SPECIAL FEATURE - FALL 2024 CAREER EXPO
In collaboration with: Chi Epsilon (XE)
Over three days, Rutgers ASCE hosted 33 companies for a career expo in coordination with Chi Epsilon, where over a hundred civil and environmental engineering students were able to network, land interviews, and even internship offers! In preparation for this event, Rutgers ASCE hosted a resume review workshop to prepare students for the expo.

MOLES DAY
Rutgers ASCE was generously hosted by the Moles Organization for their annual Students Day, where students were able to tour ongoing work at the Portal North Bridge replacement project. Thank you to Skanska Koch, NJ Transit, and the Moles Organization for hosting us for this wonderful site visit!
